Heraclides isidorus flavescens flies on the Eastern slopes of the Andes in Colombia, in Ecuador and in Northern Peru (d’Abrera 1981), it is widespread and common at elevations of 600 to 1400 meters (Bollino & Onore 2001).


in Sangay National Park we saw it at rio Shankaime, near Mera, Palora, Sucúa and Mendez.


males have two forms, one where all the HW dots are pink, the other one where the larger two dots are white ; here the "pink" form.
