large skipper seen at rio Shankaime, 900 m, and, later, farther South.
Bernard Hermier identified it as Astraptes anaphus; but there are two ssp, and both fly in Ecuador.
these specimens look more like A. a. anaphus, but, at the BM(NH) all A. anaphus from Ecuador - but one - are identified as A. a. annetta (BH pers. com.) ?
