medium sized skipper seen at Sevilla (Puyo), near Palora, Macas and Sucúa, always at elevations of about 1000 m ; Bernard Hermier informs us that there are two very similar species : Autochton zarex and Autochton longipennis.


Ernst Brockmann considers the small black dot in the FW white band to be diagnostic of A. longipennis.
