Dryas iulia is a very common butterfly in the Carribean and in nearly all of South America, with many subspecies in the Carribean islands.


subspecies Dryas iulia iulia flies from Trinidad and Tobago down to Uruguay, but only East of the Andes (d’Abrera 1984).
