Lycorea halia atergatis flies from Mexico to the Guyanas and Brasil (d’Abrera 1984).


there are other subspecies, particularly in the Carribean ; although a Danaid, it is not unlike some Heliconids.


seen near Puyo, Sucúa, 1000 meters, and near rio Pastaza and rio Shankaime, 900 m, and up to 1300 m near Pablo Sexto.
