this subspecies of Dismorphia theucarila is figured p 84 in d’Abrera, but without a name (Lamas ms).
in the Park we only saw this female on the Sardinayacu path, 1300 m, and a few males at Quebrada Cugusha;later we found it near Palora.
the problem is that, in this very place, this ssp or form flies together with D. th. leuconoe and D. th. ssp/f0215; which casts a doubt about the validity of these Dismorphia theucarila ssp.
nevertheless, in 2004, Lamas described it as ssp yolanda.
