Dalla cypselus collected at el Retiro and Tinguichaca, identified by Bernard Hermier.
Dalla cypselus flies from Colombia down to Bolivia; in Colombia we have D. c. cypselus, with the patch on the HW medium sized and yellow, while in Bolivia we have D. c. evages with big orange patches.
we have noted that specimens from Ecuador - as well as those from Peru - are intermediate between the two ssp; hence, maybe, we have no subspecies at all, but a clinal variation from North to South?
