Adelpha capucinus capucinus, like a great many Adelpha, flies, in South America, from Venezuela East to the Guyanas and South to Bolivia, and in the whole Amazon basin (KRW 2003) ; it is a variable species.
seen West of Mendez, at rio Tutamangosa, 1000 m, rio Shankaime, 900 m, near Puyo and farther East.
