Attal & Crosson du Cormier (1996) write that the various races of P. philinus fly from Southern Ecuador to Northern Bolivia, and that the Ecuadorian race (subspecies), P. ph. nyctimene, flies only around Loja.
we found P. ph. nyctimene in Sangay NP (center and South), where it is not common.
the female would not be known to Science.
we found Perisama philnus nyctimene at more than 250 km North of its supposed limit.
