Vanessa braziliensis flies in the Andes from Venezuela to Argentina, on both slopes, and generally between 2000 and more than 3000 meters.
in Sangay NP we saw it at 1800 meters near rio Paute, at a higher elevation at Runtun, and at 3000 m near Riobamba and also at 9 de Octubre.
