Heliconius erato lattivita f. ilia lives only in the Ecuadoran Oriente, and particularly in the Provinces of Morona Santiago and Pastaza; it apparently flies between 700 and 1500 meters and is quite common. f. ilia is not so common ; specimen collected South of Puyo.
