Melete are a difficult group ; they fly from Mexico and the Carribean down to Paraguay.


there is a certain number of species (between five and ten ? there is much uncertainty), all species look quite alike ; it makes it difficult to determine a specimen.


they usually fly below 1200 meters. they reach the Eastern limits of the Park.


Keith Willmott identifies this one, seen at rio Shankaime, as Melete lycimnia, but with a rather broad dark rim under the HW.
